THE 17TH CENTURY: POLICY, ECONOMY  AND CULTURE

Now we’re going to study the amazing 17th century and, to do it,  I’ve prepared some useful presentations:

  • The first one is a complete route about the Absolutism and the Parliamentary Monarchy in France and England, making some stops to examinate the different philosophical and economic theories of the century.
  • In the second one we will analyse the Holy Roman Empire and Spanish situation, since the  begining of the 17th century with Felipe III to the 18th century, the War of Succession and the arrival of the Bourbon Dynasty.
  • Finally we’ll study one of the most fructiferous artistic periods in Europe, the Baroque.

I hope you enjoy them and help you to study and understand this interesting century:

One of the best ways to study history is using a timeline, these are the ones made by my students in their PBL Project during the course 2014-15 with the app Timeline JS. These assignments are the result of the whole class working together as a team.
